Summer has FINALLY come around here in Portland, however it's still raining buckets on the Oregon coastline. Despite the weather, I dragged John out to Devil's Cove last weekend for a day in the... well, gray-ness. Neither of us seemed to mind too much (though I will admit, when my rainboots busted open while the tide was coming in, I was NOT a happy camper), and we got in some good wandering and I got in some good picture-takin'.
I have to say, John is definitely a lot more adventurous than myself, he found all the coolest stuff! Barnacles, mussels and kelp washed up on the shore, not to mention a pretty rad fossil embedded in some rock.
Hopefully, the Portland sun will finally hit the coast soon and I can get back out there - it's like a home away from home, I always feel so happy by the ocean. :)
Happy Summer, fellow Portlanders!
